We are both originally from the NC area.   We love the evolution and elevation of food today in North Carolina. We realize that there are lots  of great choices, and look forward to adding a new needed choice to the existing fine mix of eateries. Having lived in Brooklyn, NY for five years, I believe that our restaurant THE TABLES  will offer a new vibe that we hope you will all enjoy. The cuisine will be fresh, locally sourced (NC has among the best local ingredients in the US), a mix of Southern comfort food, seafood classics, a big city flair.  We love matching wine, beer, spirits and creative non-alcoholic beverages with food for better enjoyment. We will feature some great pairings. Ambiance will be welcoming, upbeat, yet low key.

About Chef John

I have been cooking casually and professionally for over ten years.  Education and experience includes a degree in the culinary arts, NYC catering, restaurant ownership and management, but mostly I learn from my love of experimenting with great  fresh ingredients.  What my wife and I enjoy most of all is the hospitality aspect of this industry. Pleasing people in all areas of hostility has been my hallmark. We call our customers friends, and love making new friends and enjoy catering to the needs of old friends.  The hospitality that already exists here with the good people of NC is  the right fit for this new restaurant. We love being  back home.

THE TABLES will feature an open kitchen concept, lots of natural lighting, a large bar area, raw bar menu, daily seafood specials, plenty of cold beer on tap, and a nice selection of great affordable wines. Suggested food and beverage match will be including on menus.

We have invested a considerable about of our funds to bring the venture to life. We need more money to purchase:  lighting,  a cool bar build out, and kitchen appliances.   We want to reach out to you, our future customer to ask for your support.  We are offering generous incentives  for your support, and can’t wait to personally meet and serve you.  We hope that this will be the beginning of a long and great relationship with the community of NC.
