Raise money thru crowd funding for your non-profit or charity

Crowd funding Made Simple is a plan-as-you-go guide for anyone trying to raise money through a crowd funding. It includes current best practices for succeeding.

FundMeFundYou is a new crowdfunding site  that allows people and organizations to raise money through multiple contributions using the crowdfunding model. Crowdfundiing is a popular non-traditional method of acquiring funds. Unlike traditional funding methods, e.g., venture capital and bank loans, crowd sourcing leverages the mass-market power of social media to achieve a unified financial goal.  Even the modest cash donations from numerous–hundreds or thousands of contributors–can quickly add up to a substantial amount of money.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowd funding or Crowd sourcing is the collective cooperation, attention and trust by people who network and pool their money together, usually via the Internet, in order to support efforts initiated by other people or organizations. (source: Wikipedia).

Benefits of crowdfunding:

Crowdfunding is a powerful tool for raising money for a worthy cause.   The key benefits of crowdfunding for individuals and organizations are as follows:

  • Create the Buzz.  A crowdfunding campaign creates immediate exposure and awareness for your cause.
  • Test market your idea. Crowdfuning campaign can also serve as a litmus test to evaluate whether an idea is viable, or popular and / or whether you need to tweak it or revise the message.
  • Grow your supporter base.  Attract  new supporters thereby increasing your fundraising potential.  People who contribute to your cause  are your most enthusiastic fans. These loyal super fans will help you find more supporter  by promoting your campaign to their friends and associates.
  • The free cash infusion.   The extra income from the funds you’ve raised is the ultimate benefit; with the extra money you can achieve your desired funding goal.
  • You are always  in control.   You retain 100% ownership and control.  You don’t have to sell any equity in you company or part with your invention or idea.

Crowd funding to raise money for a non-profit

Save Our Wild Animal Retreat—sample

By The Exotic Animal Retreat Foundation

Help us continue rescuing abandoned and ill treated exotic pets, giving them the dignity of life that they deserve.   We are a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and taking care of wild animals.

Who We Are Background

For over 15 years, we have been home to numerous abused and abandoned wild animals.  We have gained a great reputation in our field for providing much needed humane habitat and care for exotic animals which are no longer wanted or cared for by their original owners.

We adhere to the thorough standards of care provided by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) for small, medium, and large facilities. We are a no kill, no breed sanctuary for these animals. Some of our animals have come from foreign circuses; however, most are rescued domestically. We currently house 10 lions, 5  tigers, 11 monkey species, 3 lamas, 2 zebras, numerous snakes and large lizards. Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and financial supporters, these animals leave behind a life of suffering, deprivation and in some cases physical abuse. Today they enjoy life in a paradise like setting.

The Need

The new Dangerous Wild Animal Act has created several challenges for our operation.  Because of the provisions from this act, we must make several substantial amendments to our mythologies for caring for dangerous wild animals.  These changes involve several construction projects.  Hence the need to raise  funds to cover the costs of construction and renovations. We have up until the end of 2013 to complete these changes.   Time is of the essence.  If we don’t meet this deadline we will have to transport our dangerous animals to another facility.  Please help us continue doing this wonderful work.   Make a donation today.
